Welcome to Carraig Fhada House

Carraig Fhada is one of the few B&B or self-catering homes on the shoreline of Port Ellen bay and has the most incredible views of the Isle of Islay. The house is situated by the unique square shaped Port Ellen lighthouse. There is a small beach in front of the house and only a few minutes walk away is the beautiful Islay beach known as the "Singing Sands".

Carraig Fhada is a spacious B&B or self catering house with room to sleep six within three large bedrooms. The views over the bay from the bedrooms and living areas are stunning, and if you're lucky, you might catch a glimpse of the otters, seals and dolphins in the bay. We also have wild goats roaming around the grounds near to the house.

Our B&B or self-catering accomodation is secluded yet easily accessible by farm road. There is no through traffic passing the house allowing for a very peaceful stay. Carraig Fhada is situated approximately two miles from the main village of Port Ellen. Port Ellen is one of the largest villages on the island with a small supermarket, butcher, post office and hotels for dining out or sampling one of the local Islay malt whiskys. The house is also close to the main transport links to other villages and distilleries on the island although a car is considered necessary for your stay.

Whatever your reason for visiting Islay, we are sure that your stay at Carraig Fhada will be a happy and memorable one.
